Default Poker Runs America Shoot Out-Little Washington, NC

Spectre 30' Stock Twin 500 HP EFI "Nauti Temptations"

ran 111.56 in the Kilo this weekend.

Just got back-This was a great event. This was my first Kilo event. Kind of hard to see the entrances to the shoot, cross wind too. I was happy with my 111 though.
GPS read 112 with two people on board. Kilo is the average of a run in either direction.

It was decent for the first time. I think it will be much bigger the next time.

Bob Russell's- Outer Limits
My 30' Spectre
36' Spectre with 575's
32' Viper Skater was there (recent magazine)
28' Dual Outboard Skater
37' Talon with 700"+ Sterlings
42 Fountain with 1100's

They are the one's I remember.

The Poker Run that followed it the next day was 160 mile round trip from Little washington to Morehead City, NC. They were having the seafood festival in Morehead. The town was packed. We had a first class lunch at Captain Bills. Poker Runs America had it all set up for us and we just walked in and set down to eat( lot's of jealous people outside in line).

I cleaned my boat up after the Kilo and caught a ride with my friend Tom Denofa "Velocity Tom" for the Poker Run. It was kind of nice being a rider for a change.

Question

Hey SonnySpectre30,
Congrats on your speed, that is a very good number. I was just curious what kind of set up you were running, props, gear ratio, etc. I have a Spectre 30 also and I was wondering what other guys were running. Also, are you running a tunnel tab? If so, what do you think about it?

Sonny, congrats on your run!!
You spent a lot of time dialing in your boat and it shows. Those shorties and big props did wonders for your boat.
Who would have thought that anyone could use 36" props with 500 HPs and 1.35 gears? Lake X sure paid off.

I believe he ran mid to upper 120's with 700"+ naturally aspirated Sterlings through #6 Drives. My buuby rode with him on the Poker Run and said it was awesome.

Does anyone have any more information on the outcome of the others in the Kilo? I have searched around today and couldn't find any. Just wondering if I need to start making phone calls....
