Help?. we are looking to buy a cigarette!!!. just lost out on a 31' that one of you just bought, but I hear that you had to take, the blowers off, and you still only lost 3 mph!!!, that was a sweet deal. Congrats!!!, I would like to hear from all of you on who you would recommend. I just talked to someone who seems real and I would put him on the top of my list, but would like to hear from you guys. thanks

I would recommend ME. I have my 1985 Cigarette Mistress for sale in the Boats for Sale Forum. Alot of people have been in or around the boat and have made some comments. Hope you like it. Doug

Buy from Tres Martin and he'll dial it in for you. You'll not only get a great deal but more speed. What more could you want? BH
|
Doug,
Your boat looks like it is in really good shape, and that you really took care of it. if you can send me more pictures of the engines and interior. what we are looking for is a any where from 30 to 38' to get into Poker Runs and just have a blast on our lake, my other half want's a boat that is in the 80's to 90's and would love to go over 100, she hates getting beat., which is awesome for me because I get bigger Toys!!! . |
Depends on what kind of Cigarette you would like. Old or new.

GLH,
I have looked at your boat and it is on my list, we have 2 four year old boys, swap kids and it's a deal !!!. Kidding, we are on Scandaga, about 35mins, from Lake George, it's awesome not as busy , I will have more time the end of this week to work on this. thanks for your input. |
David,
I will check out Black Thunder, I might have missed that one. I am looking for Used Late 80's-90's. Thanks for all your help OSO Members... |
What boat do you have now? I am on Sacandaga and I may have seen you or your boat. I too have been looking for a while for the right Cig to come along. I have talked to all the dealers listed here so far and all were nice to deal with (except one). Martin Marine was very helpful and if they had something that was to my liking (right price) I would of dealt with them.

You wouldn't happen to be one of the outlaws on the back of sand Island?, who know's Mark A, we have the Baja Zero Tolerance and just bought the 32' Baja that was out around the Island the Last 3 weekends. But now it's time for a Cig. We love the sound of the engines on that 32' It run's 75 -76 on GPS, let us know if you know anyone that wants it is a great boat. And will take on most of the boat on the Lake right know, but not next Year!!!!. It's posted here for Sale. Have you noticed the boats keep getting bigger every year ! If you get yours we'll have to put on a show for the Island or up at Sport Island, Maybe Joe will let us put it into one of his events!!! but the Sonic has to be in it!. (You might be the Sonic?.) Frist one back to the dock's at Sport Island $$$$ . Send Me a PM... I agree with Martin Marine but there are alot of private deals out here with really great guy's that are alot of help too. Good Luck with your search |
Yes I have the 29 Outlaw. The one that is mostly white (the other one has red and black down the whole side of it) Mine has the 496's and his has the 6.2's. The new 35 Sonic is nice. He is a really nice older guy. He is getting around 74-75 out of his. The other 31 Sonic that was up there a few weeks ago is running around 73-74 which is what I am running on GPS. Did you see Bruce Millers new 35 or 36 Spectre that he just picked up in Florida a few weeks ago.
I see you know the Lanzi's. I know the family very well. I was talking with Anthony and Lou about getting there two places involved in a "fun run" this summer. They said they are all for it. PM me first so I can respond. Thanks Chris Czub |
is that the zero tolerance with the wild paint job?
|
Rforsey, I believe GLH will be over here on LG next weekend for our OSO get together and fall run up the lake. Why dont you come on over and check his out and at the same time have some fun with some of the boys. We are having a little cook out on my deck at the end of the day and will prove to be a good time with a lot of laughs. You could also look at my Top Gun while your here and can make comparisons to help make your decision on what model you buy a little easier.
BEWARE THOUGH : you will not be going 85-100 mph in most all Cigs. But the ride is by far the best Bob Scanlon |
If you buy a T/S you will:D

Go to a drive through. Remember, be confident. If they ask for ID and you are under 18, keep a good excuse handy, like "no, I live right down the street and didnt bring my wallet with me" ;)

I have purchased 2 Cigarettes from Phil @ Lip-Ship over the last few years and would highly recommend him. The first boat was used and the second was brand new and built to spec. On both deals, Phil greatly exceeded my expectations and was great to work with. Phil is straight forward and honest as can be. If he tells you that he will do something, you can count on it.
Lip-Ship Performance: (305) 933-9988 Lip-Ship Performance I have just recently started working with Tres @ Martin Marine. He is performing some extensive work for me on a new project boat. I have not purchased a boat from him, but, after working with him on this project, I would be 100% comfortable buying a boat from him. Like Phil, Tres is straight forward, honest and dependable. Martin Marine: (954) 587-1220 Martin Marine Martin Offshore I personally don't think that you can go wrong with either of these individuals. Happy shopping. Will Lynch Lynch Mob Racing |
did you get my pm?
|
You know there is Glen Martin at Martin Marine too.
|
What speeds are you looking for in a Cig??? 80's, 90's and 100's are big power and reliability issues. Offshore Performance in Galesville will be straight with you.
Ed |
We got our eye on one that is said to do over 90, but we're not telling, lost out on one, not another... might check it out next weekend... If we get it we'll let you all know what it does on gps.....
|
rocknrace: I did not mean to leave anybody out, but Tres is the only one from there that I have met and worked with. I have no doubts, however, that the entire crew @ Martin is fantastic! :D
Fandango: I am not sure if there is more than one, but the Offshore Performance near me is in Grasonville. It may or may not be the same one that you are referring to. This one started out with a little bit of a shaky reputation at first, but I truly believe, from what I have seen and heard, that they have things together now and will do a great job in both the sales and service departments. I have heard nothing but good comments about them over the past few years from both personal friends and people on this board. Also, the work that they are turning out now is impressive and definitely top notch. Offshore Performance |

Hey Guys!!
Thank you very much!! Maryland was a fun place to race and hang out. Water is a little calm but no secret that cig's crave big water. That's one of the many things that set them apart from everyone else. Once you own a cig you can only go bigger not better It was good meeting all the guys down there and listening to the different stories. Next year you have to come up to some of the NJ races. Good fun and usual rough water. Have a great winter everyone! David Diamond Dave Offshore Racing F2-13,P2-13,P3-13 APBA,OPA,& SBI Jersey Boyz Racing |
Fandango: They are absolutely turning out some incredible boats. Have you seen the 1993 Top Gun they have for sale? It was posted on this board a while back. All I can say is WOW. That thing is truly a show piece. Here is a link for anybody that has not seen it.
