Rambunctious, how do we get in touch with SEMA, Johnson Controls?

I am obviously too old. What tube do you move to what board? And what do funny named potato chips have to do with anything?

wont be long before xm starts ecming the tsops and then you'l be solding swapping the chip back and forth. And you better be good with a solder iron!

Have XM in the car and Sirius in the boat, Hate the XM. The Sirius is mounted under the deck and reads through the fiberglass no problem. If you would like I can provide a picture of the install. PM me.

Mr Gov n't
thanks for the interest

I lead up product development for overhead interior products for Johnson Controls. We are 1 of the 3 biggest interior design and manufactureres for the auto industry. ( we also have building control systems and battery divisions)

SEMA is " Specialty Equipment Marketing Association"
ie THE aftermarket industry.
the annual SEMA convention is the first full week in November at Las Vegas.

"see us at SEMA", means see us at the show in Vegas, which, unlike the consumer electronics show in vegas, is only open to industry personnel.

We will also have a booth at the Consumer electronics show coming in Jan or Feb, open to the public.

the 2004 Ford F150 is the first vehicle we sold this rail system on. and we are working on our "portfolio" of aftermarket company alliances and products. some of which, like the satellite radio module, will be at the SEMA show for demonstration, not yet for sale.

I ordered a new F150 and am excited to test our prototypes properties of satellite radio, DVD with surround, navigation, and some others on my new truck. a little fringe benefit I guess. I hope to add a small section of the two parallel rails like inthe truck into my boat so i can mount the sat radio in 2.5 seconds. it just snaps on, but will withstand a 10G shock per our specs.

offshore: what are the specific likes/dislike of the two products .

Why do you hate the XM? Is the programming no good? Why is Sirious better?

I have XM and kinda like it. The comedy channel is uncensored and sometimes pretty funny, but it has commercials. For music an iPod blows everything away since you can have thousands of songs and any number of playlists of music you know you want to hear.
