Boat Design Engine Placement

1 Attachment(s)
Mercury already has the engine/drive demensions programed into a CAD file so they can be easily integrated into the design of a hull. I am working on a design project right now and does anyone know where I can get the CAD files? If someone has them in a format compatable with AutoCad or any Linux based CAD it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty good with CAD and if I had the right engine dimensions I think I could design a really good boat. The only dimensions I have to go by now are the ones I have taken off of one of my motors, but it is very hard to get any decent tolerances with a tape measure.

Do you want DXF or IGES? Side rear and top?

I would settle for anything.. I have Autocad 2000, r-13, and r-14.... right now, but can get access to about anything at school. do you have anything that will open in autocad?... all views if your willing.

One of the drawings I have is a symbol. Do you need to change the motor a all?
