Motor Transport. Desperately Seeking Someone !!!

Desperately seeking someone that can pick up a motor from Tres Martin at Martin Marine and deliver it to Sanford & Son Boatworks in Tampa/Clearwater<?> ASAP!
Last night I received a phone call saying we were not going to be able to make the St. Petersburg race this weekend. I just received another call saying an "A" motor is available to us and sitting at Tres Martins place, but I need to get it to the boat.
Anybody got a truck and some free time? I'm open to all options. Please call me immediately at (913) 485-3151

Damn Gordo! Too bad I'm working like crazy these days. That would be a quick trip for me. :(

Try Foward Air they are dirt cheap and ship very quickly. I have shipped motors and bikes before through them. You just have to crate and tell them motor is empty of all fluids. They have web site and ship out of all major airports. Usually within 2-3days at most I am sure they can do quicker. NY to Arizona was under $300 for SBC.

Thanks !!!

I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to a team in need. It was amazing how many OSO members, racers, entheusiest, fans, propellor shop owners, (thanks Julie :) ) were all over this thread.
In fact, I apologize to those who called that I missed.
I am on duty today, and being National Fire Safety week means we spend every day this week talking to every kindergarden, first and second grader in Shawnee about fire safety. It's not easy trying to convince the little rugrats not to be pyro's and arsonist's while trying to sneak in cell phone calls relating to my racing addiction.
I fear for our future.
Anyway, Thanks to Ernesto Poleecko, Our motor should be in Clearwater before my flight lands tomorrow afternoon. Also thanks to Chuck & Kim, (Mr.& Mrs. Island Hopper) for helping us out by running parts and saving me from airport hell.

I love it when a plan comes together...

Gordo, if it falls through we can take it when we leave tomorrow. Call OSO headquarters if you get in a jam.

Gordo:

I've done the Sanford - Son thing. Too damn funny and way to damn hot! Lamont and Fred are the best. Had a few brewskies at Danny's too - good luck to you! BH
