Default Briochi and Reliable collision

Word is that Briochi and Reliable have collided in today's race. It appears that there is approximately a six foot gash in the back right side of the Briochi boat. No word at this time about Reliable. No word of any injuries at this time. Reliable did flip. More to follow as soon as I hear...anyone with more info, please let us know.

I saw Tom Abrams walking backing back to the Rig, he appeared to be ok. Brioschi was sinking on the way in under tow.

It happened right in front of us on the first turn. You could see Reliable come up in the roostertail and you could hear a loud crash. It was so loud, you could hear it over the engines of all the Super Cats. When the spray settled, about six feet or so of the right sponson was broken of Reliable. It was a few minutes before we even realized the Briocci was involved. We looked over near the pier and saw Briocci real close to sinking. They got it back to the crane. Reliable got their engine cranked up and ran it back to the crane to keep the broken sponson above the water. It was very scary, but no injuries were reported.

I guess that means these guys won't be in Orange Beach. I hope they get them fixed, by then, and I hope everone is ok.

Thanks for the pics.

How far into the race and who was leading when the two boats hit each other?

First turn on the first lap. That's the same place there were two spin outs in Super V.
