Angry OT: Ins. Ticket

OK so I get pulled over in my BURB for the radio being to loud (as if). He then herases me about it being lifted to high and the mud flaps being to short (suny and dry out). He asks me for Ins. DL and Reg. so I give them to him. He comes back a few minutes later telling me the card has expired . So I give him the one to my other car that is still curent and he tells me I have to have insurance on bolth. I tell him I do and I did not relize the cards expired at diffrent times. And I have one that starts in Nov. setting on my desk at home. He tells me to bad and gives me a $538 dollar ticket. Charlie

That sucks! Go to court and bring the current insurance card. They will probably dismiss.

I got a $700 ticket for an expired diesel inspection on one of my work trucks. Brought the reciept showing the inspection was done and had to pay $0.

Take it to the local Prosecuter and show him that you had Insurance on the vehicle at the time you were given the citation.
In Nebraska, it is written into the law that you have 10 days to show that you had Insurance in effect at the time you were cited and the ticket gets dismissed. After 10 days, you have to plead your case to the Judge.

In NJ, they'll amend the ticket to failure to produce, approx. $43.
