O.T. Two post auto lift??
 

I am looking at buying one for use in my back yard shop.. Any in case, has anyone had bad or good experiences with them.
Chain drive, cable drive, 9k/10k weight limits.. ???

Prices and places to get them. I have hit the net and found them from just under $2k to 3k..

That site gives you icons for the products but I dont know which one is the lifts.. too slow a connection speed to check them all out.

Nice ride, is that vette done yet?? I like the idea of the sissor lift, but I am building the addition on the barn with 12' 6" ceiling clearance to go the distance. IF the wife knew I designed the barn around a lift.. oh boy..

The scissor was perfect for our very SMALL garage as it doesn't add to the footprint. A 4-post is wide enough that we would have been able to only get 1 car in. The Scissor will go up a full 6 feet, but our ceiling isn't high enough for that (and since the master bath is above the garage I can't really go in and raise the ceiling <LOL>). It is also very stable.

I had one friend who had a 4-post collapse (no one hurt but di damage the cars and of course wasted the lift). Probably a rare occurance, but the way the company treated him afterwards was the pits. Check carefully if you go with the small "home" companies to see how they will stand behind it (ours is by BendPac, who does professional lifts and ships all over the world).

Which ever one you get they are a great assest.

I have all Mohawk lifts in my shop. Some are 18-20
years old. Cost alot, but never break. Rams have
lifetime warranty. Had one start leaking. They came
and replaced it. No questions asked. I have 9 of them.

My buddy has a 2 post for years we use it for everything never had a single problem I'll have to ask him what make it is from carts to trucks we do everything on it

I am taking a look at them now. Seems there are some real differences if you look close, as always!

Greg, I sure wish I would have had one of those all these years in the short garages.. It would have made life easier, for sure.

I will let you guys know what one I end up with, at this point I am still learning and searching.
