The son that you are talking about is Javier that was born in 1984. I am Alex and I am the second oldest of the crew. I remember you when you were hanging out with Country Boys crew at one race and Ron Leonard thought you were chasing his daughter. However, I do not remember what race that was. i believe in was in Ft. Myers.

I know. The guy's name is Ricardo Acosta and we painted it like the original Damn Carrera back at the shop and shipped it to him. The old man throttled it for him for the remainder of 87 and all of 88. It was the fastest boat there at the time but very inconsistent due to old equipment. In 1990 however, Acosta purchased the engines that belonged to the Special Edition modified boat and it started doing well again and he ran it with his brothers.

I know this is a really old and dead thread. But I was doing some research of my dad, Willy "El Boss" Diaz. Trying to dig up photos video and anything I can find. Old man has been at "camp" as you guys would say. And I am trying to put something together for his return. If any of you guys out there have anything you can contribute I would greatly appreciate it. Reading all your stories has been a real treat. As I was very young when all this happened. Thanks!
