Great motors congrats
Fire em up lets here em! :D |
Too Old, those motors would look nice in that Sutpen.
Cap071, The guys did a video of those motors being dynoed, from top and side view, I too can't wait to hear them:D |
Is that George and Kathycool's Sonic?
Ron |
599 ci that doesn't leave much for overhauls. don't take me the wrong way but your ke's were 675 hp out of 540ci . why go to that large of bore when you could have the same power from 540 ci . a single efi is killer and sure mark tuned the computer to work to feed the beasts, why so big of a bore???

What are they going into?
I think your gonna need a blower. |
Nice looking motors Jeff. Maybe I should have taken the offer of a ride instead of the towel. Man those things will rock! :D

Open 72,
The eickerts were supercharged, these are naturally aspirated. Much more reliable, fits under stock hatch, less maintenance, etc. These engines will not need rebuilds any time soon, but there is enough room to rebuild when needed. If we bored these blocks another .025", we would still maintain .400" cylinder wall thickness, which is considerably thicker than a new stock GM 502 block. This is a siamese block, so it will be fine. Also, these engines are much cheaper than the KE675's. I don't think its even a question. We don't use blowers until we get to our 850+HP engines. Ron, Yes, Thats George and Kathy's sonic. We will hopefully be testing it this weekend. Thanks, Steve |
they look blue not purple too me

correct the 675 was blown and are not avaliable anymore unless you want the sterling version.yes the cost factor is less than blown enginesjust seems like those hp #'s could have been achieved with 540 or 572 ci thats all. i know the drives jeff got from sean will hold the power leo rigged the cougar "lolliepops" that they came off of. i actually rode in that boat back in april and those 5's were swingin'. have some killer pics of those drives in action but my scanner is in my car trailer and it's not at my new house yet. good luck.......

Nobody's doing these #'s w/ a 540 or 572 efi at 5400 RPM's. The main focus in building these engines is reliability.
