Cant tell ,looks silver with a spoiler. Its roaring pretty good coming thru the tunnel.

ChrisK 10-29-2003 11:03 PM

I looked at it again the only thing I could come up with is a porche?... looks like the front of one with a rather large wing on the back... and to get THAT fast on the street.. there is only a few cars that CAN!

I can't get the link to work

But heres some food for thought:

@ 204 MPH you're traveling @ about 306 feet per second. If something bad was to happen and you needed to slam the breaks on to stop....The average perception and reaction time in a human is 1.5 seconds(.75 seconds perception/.75 seconds reaction)...That means you'd travel 459 feet before you even touched the brakes!! Think about that. That is a LOT of distance.

A friend of mine took me up to 198 MPH in his Diablo on the freeway at about 3 am one time. Let me tell you, your brain can barely keep up with the things that you see in front of you at that speed. By the time you realize what it is you're coming up on, it's going past you!

Thats a bunch of O ****s

sean stinson 10-30-2003 01:17 AM

Richie Simon tells me that an Indy Car at approx 200 mph is a football field a second which is in line with everyone else's facts.....I just thought I would add that for a new perspective.....and also because I'm bored waiting for The Northern Lights to appear in the Texas sky again tonight which is extremely rare I'm told....

Tank bro wassup? How's Kelli? PM your numbers so we can talk stud. Would love to hear ya again.

Think about CALLAN MARINE or BACARDI SILVER trying to stop on water from that SAME SPEED!!

I can't comprehend(sp?) stopping distances in a cat!

thisistank 10-30-2003 04:52 PM

Trout, I was just rounding off bro. Didn't think I needed to get to technical on here:D

Cash, water is a whole different set of cercs, no brakes!:D

Sean, I'll PM you. Kelly's doing fine. Hows the fam?

Yea, but half added back to the whole works quicker;)
Close enough for government work!:D

i have heard a similar story, the SR-71, at max speed a stationary object the pilot is passing will be 10 miles past him by the time his brain comprehends what it was.

Iggy 10-31-2003 10:18 AM

328 KPH = 203.809751 MPH or 298.9209628 ft/sec

2193 MPH = 3216.400001 ft/sec or .6091666667 mi/sec
or 36.55000001 mi/min

I have a great conversion program. If anyone wants a copy, let me know.

IS there a point in which you just say, "screw that... There is no way I will catch them" and just call ahead or something and not even move?

Its better on two wheels. Ive been 187 on two (gps). The record was just reset for a street legal bike with factory body work. Just over 250mph on salt at Boneville. Right now I could go over 200mph for less than a $10,000 total investment. Pretty incredible.
