..and then there is the arguement that will be raised by some obsolete old timer that the oil lamp from years ago is still far superior to todays compact flourescent lamp for household use.
I happen to like them for outdoor and porch use.
And I'm not an " obsolete old timer"!
Next time a hurricane hits and your battery powered flourescent lamp dies because batteries can't be found, I'll be there with my old fashoned, obsolete oil lamp.

And don't forget the ones who have the import light bulbs with 60 watts that shine brighter than the ones who have 80 watts. But the ones who have 80 watts complain that the 60 watts are using funny gas to get a brighter shine than the 80-watt. The 80-watt crowd will tend to bash him saying that his 60-watt really is not brighter at all when the 80-watt is used properly.
