Jupiter Beach Resort is a nice spot. You can walk to the inlet and you may get lucky because there are usually a few nice rides out and about on the weekend.
At the very least, if its rough, you will see guys braving the breakers to get out the inlet and thats always interesting

I dont know the name of the inlet, could be the Hillsboro Inlet that Georges mentioned, but there was one near where I stayed in Pompano in February. I stayed at the Holiday Inn on A1A and there was an inlet just up the beach with a lighthouse on the other side. Saw many nice go fasts and got some good pics also.

Default weather over the holidays?

Considering hauling the family and 28 Pantera to Ft lauderdale/Keys for the holidays- what's the chances of 70 degrees +? It's a 20 hr run to get there.

Chances are excellent, I have been here 15 years and only remember one Christmas to cold to boat

roll yes it's hillsboro..jetty wall is to the north and tot he right is a 10 deep reef.. so if the tide is really high.(moon tide) you can run south out of the inlet but best to run out to the 30' reef and run about 2 mile out.. no skag damage that way..
