OT - Camaro Project
Hey guys. Since I don't have any updates on the Apache, here is another project that I have been working on for a long time now. It is a 1967 Camaro RS. I bought the car 7 years ago, ran it for a year or two and then tore it down to restore it. The first 3 years after tearing it down were spent buying and collecting the needed parts. Then, the last 2 years have been spent actually doing the restoration. Now, 5 years since tearing it apart, the car is finally nearing completion. For some reason, I think that this project may have gone a lot faster if the boats didn't suck up all of the money and time! Here are some pictures of the project.

I went out of town for just short of a month right before the actual restoration work began. When I got back, the body shop miraculously had the body work completed and the first coat of paint on! I thought, NO WAY. Upon closer inspection, the first shop did some shoddy patch work on the body panels and then covered it in body filler and paint. I guess they were hoping that I wouldn't notice. I also think that they were going to sell the body panels that I bought for this project. BUSTED!
Needless to say, I yanked the car out of there right away and moved it to a friend's shop. From there the restoration started over again. The body work was done correctly and we were off and running in the right direction. This picture was taken at the second shop after removing one of the rear quarter panels.
