It depends on what you are looking for...

If you want plenty of room for long cruises, then go to Lake Texoma. The islands are pretty deserted this time of year.

If you want to raftup and party, then go to Lake Lewisville. There will always be a few boats in "party cove".

If you want the best of both, then come on down to Lake Travis in Austin. IMHO, it is the best lake in Texas!

I'm with Clay and Baja Runner- Lake Travis is the best, but you also cant count out Lewisville, Texoma, and Possum Kingdom (which has the awsome "Hell's Gate"

Im planning on being in travis this weekend. 20% chance of rain....should be ok.

Its about 3 hrs from dallas. Just take 35 south, takes you all the way to austin. Exit 620 in round rock (as your coming into austin) I think its exit 255 (within 5 exits). Go west on 620 for roughly 15 miles. You will not miss mansfield dam. as soon as you pass over it, take a right at mansfield park. Your there.

Devils cove is directly across from Carlos and Charlies
