Just looking for feedback on this engine.
I've heard both good and bad.

Are you thinking of buying one?? I have a had my pair for three years and have had good luck. If you are looking for a pair mine are for sale, counter rotating, 300 hours for $12k. If you just want questions answered PM me your phone number and I will give you the 411.

My buddy has them on his Sutphen and he loves them.

225 opti's are good motors.. they had some problems when the first rolled the motors out but merc did a nice job of getting that all taken care of

i want to say it had something to do with an oxygen censer

Custom Rigger..... you really need to spell check your posts! I have never seen anything like it....... "powerboat saleman". Take some time and make it right. I shudder at the thought of you filling out a purchase order.

Actually, I just bought a Kencraft 215 w/ a 225 Optimax (7 hours on motor) for 15 K. I can not get over the fuel economy and the power of this motor. I had heard of some minor problems such as fouling plugs, but have been assured that if I use the Optimax oil, those problems should be nil.
