If the man said, Sorry all deals are final I would accept that. However if the shoe was on the other foot I would answer and resolve the issue by returning e-mails and full refund. Also I would have mentioend these distributors are for tall decks being that standard deck is more common. What gets me was the funky looking adaptor collars which may had made this work if the oil shaft was long enough.

Did you have trouble getting in contact with him to purchase them? Is there a chance that he really is on a long vacation or work trip? I know that some guys do take a month or more of vacation a year.

Collar non adjustable. Engine's and intake's stock mercruiser BBC. This was a thunder bolt ignition in brand new condition and looks as if was modified either from the factory or a machinist to accept tall deck application. The engine ran mint but not going very far w/o oil psi. I'm just happy we had a mechanical oil gauge on the engines upon start up!

Audiofn, While the deal was being negotiated he responded with god's speed to e-mails. Being ignored since July is really pissing me off. One of my e-mails I had asked him "am I stuck with these?"... A simple "YES, sorry" would be accepted and try to re-coup for a non common part. This OSO'er has been online since then but not after I had mentioned "thread".
I had checked AOL and he has read all my e-mails.

Its sounds like a part someone rigged instead of buying the MSD slip collars?Might have been a bad deal to start with .Just my op?

One of the thing I hate most
A person Not returning phone calls or emails . At least they should have the balls to tell me to got to hell or something.

He is avoiding you !Do a search on his post. look on who's on line when you see hes logged on and see what hes looking at
Good luck in closure

Just my .02

I joined oso this year and have been very happy with my membership. The help and advice i have got from people has been great. At first i felt stupid asking questions about topics that i should know the answer to. Then i realized, that's why this site is here. You have many very knowledgeable people here who are willing to share that knowledge to other like minded people. Along with that comes a high degree of trust. Trust that people will be honest with there information and their sales. I have yet to buy anything , but i know that i will in the near future. I am very confident that when I do the transaction will go smooth. Maybe this guy has a legitimate excuse. Although, it does not seem that way at this point. I'd be pretty pissed off to after 4 months. Unfortunately , people like that are out there. However, I think on this website people like that are a vast minority. Hopefully this guy will honor his sale and do the right thing.

Just my .02
