Now this is a pull truck....
Good googly moogly.........
clicky here |
That has got to be the baddest truck I have ever seen...Do you know any details about the mods to the truck??
I give it:cool:   :D  Definitely a must see!! |
I would have paid to see the look on the other drivers face when it blew by.
|
That was BADASS!!!!!!!!!!
|
That was insane. The guys on the DieselStop.com are doing that all day, I have never seen it though. I have a truck that could do that. I have to save that one.
|
That's awsome....
I actually just ordered a new 2004 Ford F250 crewcab 4X4 powerstroke loaded out this morning. Wish it would run like that from the factory. :) Hopefully it will arrive from the factory before the holidays next month. |
I have it saved to my desktop. I am just blown away at this thing. it is like a rocket. That may not even have a 7.3 in it. It may have a CAT engine. If you can get 1200hp out of a Marine Diesel you can do it on land.:D Everyone was laughing in the beginning, then they could not believe what they saw.

FORD RULES
|
Even provides it's own smoke screen for help with the quick get away, Ha! :)

Richard: 1995 F350 XLT 4X4 CC LB SRW Built E4OD by BTS with Baumannator controler. 12 valve Cummins with ported head, Piers race pump & Camshaft, 370 injectors, twin turbos@ 95psi boost 800 rwhp on #2 only 4.10's, Detroit locker, 36" PJ dirtgrips.
|
So it was not a CAT..close though. That is one hell of a truck.
|
Ouchhh!
|
A little OT here, but does ...cough...wheez...FORD...there I said it....make a short box dually 1 Ton 4x4?
:D |
Hey that was in Vegas too!
Very cool!!!! Even for a FORD!:D   |
I've heard that sound before. At Tractor Pulls! The sound of the turbos spooling up and the resulting whoosh sound of all the air moving is way cool. :D
|
Ford F350 vs. Ford RX7...
Isn't Mazda owned by Ford? Would like to see a Chevy crew cab with the same power on the starting line! |
You notice how it was match raciing and he sat at the light for a few seconds.
|
Yes, they did SO. Not sure anymore, and rare to find, but you may can special order one still.

the truck i used to pull my boat with was a 2001 crew cab dually f350 it weighed 8800 lbs and at mokan drag way it ran a 13.9 spinning the tires through the 60 ft mark. I had a 150hp chip alot of propane and nitrous and many little tricks. And you wondered why I went through several transmisions.
|
Thats why he came off the line slow, he knew he would grenade his transmission or at least spin his tires the whole way.:D
|
That is some cool stuff!!!
|
slingshot beat me to it.....12V cummins, twin turbo
|

SAY WHAT!!!! i hope thats a typo cause i cant see the engine handling that!!! i think the head bolts would be stretching and floating on the block!!! |
That is great! All the ford fans jumping on the band wagon and it's got a cummins in it. :p And a 12 valver at that.
I see it's got a Piers pump. I've read allot of good things about Piers Diesel Research. Brian |

I'm hanging right around 300hp and I peg the 35psi boost gauge. However, how does a (Ford?) electronic trans work behind a mechanical cummins? |
95 psi:eek: 36' tires. hooked up:crazy: that has got to be the baddest 350 on the road. that guy has to have a blast driving that truck. that is the ULTIMATE SLEEPER!!!!!:D   :D
|
Good Grief!!! An 11.42 at 118 mph!!!!! Left that Mazda (I think it was a mazda) in his smoke. And there was a LOT of smoke.

Stock Cat and Cummins marine diesels in normal "3000 hour between overhaul" tune run boost in the 30 to 40 psi range. STOCK.
Stock head bolts on these motors aren't the same as stock head bolts on a Chevy. Stock for these boogers are already HD premium rolled thread stuff. The aftermarket stuff we buy is pretty much standard fare for these hosses. But, at tractor pulls I have seen many times extra long ARP-style studs sticking way out of the heads with spacers on them (the longer a fastener is, the more tension you can put on it without worrying about working impact load causing it to yield). And I have heard mention of 300psi of boost on some "over the top" pulling motors. Of course, a single centrifugal turbine will NOT generate that kind of pressure, so they use 4 turbos in SERIES. And, yes, they stretch head bolts. And explode intake manifolds. And blow the sides out of the block. And if they break a rod at the wrong time, it can send the piston down and knock the crankshaft out of the bottom of the block. At that power level, you'd better hope you remember what you did to get it there, cause when it blows, there will be nothing to salvage. All that porting and polishing will be a doorstop. |
Now that was cool..... I want one
Interesting facts mcollinstn Diesels and turbos are WAY cool!! Just very expensive. My dad used to take me to tractor pulls when I was a kid and I always loved to hear those turbos spooling up. I remember asking what the flap with a cable attached was for and one of the drivers told me it the emergency shut off to the air intake because shutting off the fuel will not kill those motors at WOT at that power level. He said they will continue to run on the crankcase oil. |
My truck runs a 11.42 0-60:D and i think 18.80 Qtr according to the G-tech...Bone Stock with a dirty air filter:p
|
Can you say CUMMINS !!!!
I wonder why that FORD guy didn't use the 7.3 or 6.0? OR why didn't he put a DMAX in it, it IS lighter than that little 6 banger.:D ;) |
