Security question

Hi!

Im new to this forum and i have a few questions.

Sometimes accidents happen when the boat lifts from the surface and flips around. My questions are:

1.What types of equipment, electrical or manual is used to prevent such accidents?

2. What equipment is allowed to use and not to prevent this lifting effect in competitions?

Thanx!

I'm from Sweden.

So when these accidents happen is it always the drivers fault or can it happen to anyone if the wind just decides to make your day a bad one? I mean the wind at sea can sometimes be pretty unpredictable.

Are these kind of accidents common in races or private use?

Can't the "wing", trims etc. or shape of the boat prevent this?

Some racing cars have an electrical wing that adjusts it's angle to speed, is there such a thing in boat racing?

Maby my questions seem kinda goofy but i have been wondering about this.

The conditions in a boat vary far too much to have any kind of device that could control.

The water conditions constantly change, big waves, small waves, span between waves, angles they contact the hull from. Wind can vary in as many ways as water.

buckknekkid is right
Its all between the ears :D

If conditions are changing or even look like they might change, do the smart thing and SLOW DOWN. Knowing your own abilities and your own abilities is the key to being safe.
Racing is a different situation. You are there to run as fast and as hard as you can and finish first. Running on the "edge" the whole time. That is why there are safety crews there.

Ok, i see.

What does the safty crew do? And how?
