Ok, Someone Talk Me Into Moving To The West Coast!!
Ok, now that I am starting over, I am seriously thinking of moving to California. I know I can get a job there, I think Wells Fargo is pretty big there and I work here now so no big deal. I have to sell my house and other stuff but that would set me up nicely. How about Orange Co. I don't want the big city but like the convenience of being an hour away or so. I am serious as the heart attack I almost had the other day so no goofing around here. Well, some is ok and naked pics are always welcome.

Try this for starters
http://aolsvc.digitalcity.com/orangecounty
or this:

Just remember cost of living is very high as well as home/condo costs.
Good luck...
Why not Florida?

I dont know...being from Jersey, I think if I was gonna start over, I think I'de hit the sunshine state. As GLH stated so elegantly, FIRE, FLOODS, LANDSLIDES, QUAKES etc etc etc. Im sure Cali is beautiful, never been there. But seems like too many natural disasters.
I know Florida has its share too, But, the chances of sustaining a direct hit by a hurricane are much less than any of the above.

Hell, you'll never leave here. You don't make friends easily, you get road rage at the first sight of traffic, and the water there has SALT in it!!!!! YUCK!!!
Seriously, if you go, take me with you!!!!

I was considering the same move a few years ago. Been to cali many times. I've never been impressed.
The people are all dems
The landscape is brown
there is no inland boating other than lakes
the costs are high
the traffic is outragous
Florida is much nicer in my book.

Once you look at house prices, experience the air pollution in LA, bad racial relations, and have to carry a gun in the constant traffic jams, you will be heading to Florida.
That said, if you could live and work in Carmel or on Catalina Island, move!
