Next question is where do you buy them? I don't remember seeing them at West Marine or BoatUS.

Nevermind. Just looked at www.boxanchor.com. They don't have local dealers here in MD and VA, so I'll have to use mail order.

If you have any technical questions, just ask to speak to the owner, I did. I forget his name but he's very nice and basically told me that if it didn't work for me, just send it back and he'd refund my money 100%. That's confidence in your product!!

I will never own another type of anchor.
It is by far the best there is. Advantages; Less Rode required. No Chain needed. You NEVER have to set it. It always Holds. ( I have had six boats rafted off of me with it) It folds up nice and easy and comes with a heavy vinyl storage bag. Disadvantages; It is heavy! I scratched my swim platform bringing it up this summer with a hurt back. Oops! Just pull up to where you want to anchor, drop it over the side, back up to let out a few feet of rope, take the rope up to the bow and tie to the cleat and you are done. Repeat in reverse to retrieve the anchor. Buy it and you will be HOOKED!!!!!!!!!! |
