Cool Anyone into Darts?

Since we moved recently, I haven't bothered to set up the basement in our house yet, with the exception of the pool table & entertainment center. When boating season is in full swing, everything else can wait!!! I promised my wife I'd work on the yard next year, LOL!

I have a really nice Dart board setup I'm trying to put up and I can't remember the distance from where you throw the Darts to where the actual Dart board is!?!?!? Can any of my OSO friends help out with this measurement??

Thanks
Steve

Assuming you mean English darts, it's 7'9 1/4" from the face of the board to the line. Center of bull is 5' 8" from the floor.
I don't know if it's different or not for an American board. (All I ever play is cricket.)

I don't know what kind of dart games we will play! But after a few beers I don't think a couple inches either way will matter!! Just kidding. Thanks for the info.

No, I'm thinking of taking up shuffleboard and moving to Florida.

Rainmn's got it!

Actually, the Brits invented the game and it's 237cm horizontally, which equals 7' 9 5/16"

Vertically, the center is 173cm off the floor or 5' 8 1/8"

Darts are awesome. Fun while drinking.

god, I haven't played a good game of cricket in a while. I used to have one electronic board, and one horse hair board side by side and a pool table.

What happened you ask? I got married and had children.

The up side is I still have a boat. And yes, it WILL stay!!!

Darts is a game that's just too strenuous. That game is for retired quarterbacks and major-league pitchers. Heck, I fall asleep just from working the TV remote.

I got into darts this summer, great game. I picked up some Hammerhead Mega thruster darts, still trying to get used to them.
