I thought the same thing. I wonder why they did that? Noise? Space? Surely wasn't to save a few $$$!

There MIGHT be a half inch between those outboard risers and the inside of the hull. You will need an access panel on the outside of the hull to change spark plugs. Just look at trying to change that port side oil filter. I like it, but would not want to maintain it.

I've been told several times that a cast manifold doesn't matter on a blower motor. The strange thing is that the opposite is true for a street blower motor.
