Tim G. Do you spend time on the Chesapeake Bay? Bob's boat is one sweet ride.
Warpaint, Do you feel like someone is watching you? This is one of the 820 HP beast from Bob's 39 Sutphen |
RA, great pic! I just noticed the tape.Safety first!Tell my engine builder about that;)
|
Tape the carb studs in ???????
Sorry couldn't resist!!;) |
I love that 39 Sutphen! Some cool factoids about that boat, please correct me if I'm wrong:
1. Only boat I know of with 26 degress of transom deadrise. Has to be a great rough water bottom! 2. That boat originally had a triple bravo 1 setup. The original owner blew up some many drives under warranty that Mercury decided to stop warrantying drives on triple engine boats. 3. It was re-rigged at Sutphen with #6 dry sumps and a full stagger setup. From what I can see they did a PERFECT job. Better than new. 4. With twin 850 Hp Chief's (non intercooled) it ran 106+ and the props weren't optimum. With the right wheels it had more to give! Awesome performance! Looking from the front, the Sutphen's have a super sharp entry and carry teh deadrise well foward. It a very "long" 39 footer. Should ride like a 42+ foot boat! If I had the funds and time I would buy this boat in a heartbeat!!!! I just missed it last time it was for sale b/c I was buying a new house. LOL.. got to keep the "better half" happy... At least I got a big 30 x 50 garage/ shop out of the deal.... Too Old- I'm sure this will sell QUICK..... |
Fred, My all time favorite picture of Bob's 39.......
