MACDAD,
I heard they were coming out with that box. Looks good. Can't wait to see one in person. I'm REALLY surprised at the price....expected it to be a lot more than that. Not bad. Are you going to stay with Mac? You had mentioned getting out not to long ago. Buck |
i could but 8 of the one i bought for that price:eek: nice box. that is too rich for my blood:D :D ;)
|
now i see your a mac tool distributor, you will probably get it for around 2200. is my guess:rolleyes: :D :D

not stainless just clear coated fresh metal

Buck, Yes, it is a good price. It is a Tech Series box, that is why. If it was a Macsimizer it would be about 50% more. If these thing sell like I think they will, they might expand into other models. Stainless seems to be the "in" thing right now.
No, I am not quitting Mac. I was asking about franchises because my wife may or may not lose her job in the spring. She needs to work to support my boat habit! :D Open72, Everyone except mechanics are shocked when they hear the price of our boxes and tools. It is just like a non-boater that thinks anyone with a boat has to be rich or win the lottery to own one. I have seen the Sam's box. It is really quite impressive fro the price. They look like a good buy for the DIY'er. Better than Sears. For most professionals though, they are not big enough and are not built strong enough to take the wear and tear they get when used day in and day out. |
macdad- are you a mac dealer? there is somthing i am looking for.

i run a body shop , and i am the head painter also. been in auto repair/ body business for 17 years. i bought this box for my home, my men have snap on , mac, and craftsman pros. also 2 good friends are snap on dealers. i know that system ,and the markup. i was impressed at the quality of the box i purchased. stainless complete top to bottom. will make a nice addition for my toy shop. eric;)

MACDAD,
That's still a lot of box for the $$$ even if it is a Tech series. It will give the people that can't afford the Macsimizer boxes something nice. I wouldn't be ashamed. You're right, the other box wouldn't do for me either. I live in my box. Could EASILY justify a box that costs much more. (current box is around 10k) Until you've made your living out of one of these things one wouldn't understand. The Sam's box would be a good home box for me. Clean looking piece. About the same money I paid for the Craftsman that's in the garage now but much better looking. Buck |
