Poker Run Video Predator 160 MPH
#21
I was at the poker run and I believe they posted a top speed of 161 that weekend.
The motors are built by Larry Peto out of Tucson AZ.
The boat that was running with them is a 34' DCB. They blew a motor shortly after passing across Predator's wake.

Look for the upcoming issue of Extreme Mag. who did a photo shoot on a 32 skater named B'yond Reason. Should be a photo of the GPS showing 164mph on the afternoon run to Parker Dam.

Predator = skater40
HavasuCig is right...Dave blew an engine (Teague 1200) in Defreese's F-34 at 150MPH or so...the boat made a "hard right turn" across his wake.

Poker Run DVD
I have about 12 DVDs left from the Spring 2003 Poker Run. This DVD has the full poker run video, Preditor video, poker run station video (a must see) and the shake rattle and role video (onboard video of the start) all on one cd for $20 + $1.50 for shipping. If your interested send a check to AHBA PO Box 86331 Phoenix, AZ 85080 and don't forget to include a return address. By the way the April '03 poker run had 200 boats at Lake Havasu, Arizona. Just a great video for poker night. Also thanks to Pix N Flix for producing the video.

ps Thanks to Gary Smith & Preditor for the ride at the Oct poker run, 154mph. Yes, sitting in back you need to hold on to your glasses and head set. But what a ride!!

Mike,
Do you have any videos left? I'd love to buy one from you if you do. Check your PM's.

Nothing better than a Skater going 160 without a canopy, 4 people on board without helmets wearing marginal vests, and passing bowriders that are going 25mph....... talk about recipe for disaster!

your right dh, those bowriders need to pick up the pace a little...
although i do question where all this speed is gonna lead to some day... i can call up a hand full of builders and have a 170-180 boat built today, no questions asked...
