mental support for murder

I know a lot of people on this board come from different backgrounds. My question is; Has anyone had a close friend or realative convicted of Murder 1?

CigDaze 12-05-2003 03:02 PM

Can't say that I have.

Everything okay, Hyper?

Tantrum 12-05-2003 03:05 PM

No close friends or relatives but I am from New Jersey.
Odd question.......everything ok?

HyperBaja 12-05-2003 03:07 PM

Nothing has happened to me. Dont worry.

Yes, close friend and former business partner. He got hung up on a stupid deal, couldn't get over it and killed someone over it. Just plain dumb. Now in jail for life with no parol. DA went for death but penalty phase of trial was hung jury. Later found out he was paranoid schitso (sp?) and wasn't taking meds. Had a bad PD too so that didn't help. He was a bad ass dude too, was Michigan state toughman contest winner. Now lives in a 8X10 concrete room 23 hours a day. Not good.:(

I have convicted a few of murder, criminal sexual assault, etc. No death penalty sentences though. I have a relative who tried to kill his wife and a friend doing a life sentence at Leavenworth and a childhood friend doing a life sentence in Florida.

I've killed a few beers.

BLee 12-06-2003 09:57 AM

My ex girlfreind from high school/college was murdered recently. Her boyfriend stabbed her 30+ times. He had just been convicted of aggravated assault 6 months earlier. Its the most shocking thing I've experienced. He was caught the same night.

THEJOKER 12-06-2003 10:07 AM

HyperBaja 12-07-2003 11:24 AM

interesting, but exactly what I was looking for.

mopower 12-07-2003 02:53 PM

I know someone who was convicted for murder. Somebody ripped him off bad and legally he had NO recourse:rolleyes:. Illegally he had one so he shot the SOB. Did about 10 years and is now 68 years old and free. To meet or talk to him he's really a nice guy. He was just a victim of our justice system protecting the criminal , so he took matters into his own hands.

Madcow 12-07-2003 03:00 PM

One of my employees did 13 years for killing someone in a barfight. Really nice guy, and a hard worker, but you always have to wonder what he's capable of.

Trinity College

My sister's class had a very unfortunate incident. Some punk who thought he was bad ass started **** with a bunch of students after a party. He ended up shoving and punching one of the kids that would never have hurt anyone. In defense, the kid fought back and punched him once, where he fell over backward, hit his head and died instantly. I don't know the aftermath, but I'm sure this kid is still dealing with this every day even though he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Are you implying that this scumbag "your friend", did not butcher those two people?

RollWithIt 12-07-2003 08:48 PM

Brother plead no contest to involuntary manslaughter. Was involved in an accident where is friend died. He has a friend who got into a bar fight and the other person died. Was cleared. Two co-workers shot and killed people. Clean shoots. Friend from High school serving life for a murder during a robbery. And I have had the opportunity to put some people away for murder.

Tricky919 12-07-2003 08:50 PM

GET REAL, IT WAS A JOKE !!!!!!!!

Shane 12-08-2003 06:52 AM

Hyper,

Glad you are not in any trouble. Care to elaborate?

105mph_38_2003 12-08-2003 07:17 AM

When I was 16 a senior I hung out with was arrested on M1...But in Houston we have plenty of power attorneys and he got off with 10 years probabtion...His attorney was Richard"racehorse"Haynes. I don't remember the details since it scared and shocked me so bad but I know it was over a girl.

Its very traumatic to have someone that you know do something like that out of the blue.....

hugetime1 12-08-2003 09:51 AM

I have killed alot , i can tell you everything you want to know. I have killed 2 boats, a snowmobile, a few engines, and the occasional car.

ChrisK 12-08-2003 10:04 AM

The closest thing for me is I found out someone I graduated HS with killed her child when it was born. Sick sick person.... She was they type that you would have NEVER guessed she would do something like this.

Iggy 12-08-2003 11:02 AM

Not me.
But I used to have a major contact in the Mafia when I lived in Jersey.

RollWithIt 12-08-2003 08:23 PM

I also have friends who killed in the military. Does that count. Dont know the numbers. Thats the type of question you just dont ask them. But you can tell.

Thinkin about a career change there Hyper??
