Would it be bad if I told you I've raced all me life most recently as last Friday nite. When I started Kinetic in 1995 I also turned PRO/Superclass around the same time. I quickly realized I had to devote more time to work than BMX. Still love the sport it's AWESOME to see how well the guys do these days thanks to ESPN and the X Games. I raced my first race sometime in 1981 at Coral Springs BMX on a DG.

BMX - From the time I was 10 until I got my license at 17, I think I spent every second not in school or sleeping on a BMX bike.
Tried the racing thing in the early 80's, did well for a while, but Freestyle held my interest more. Did that for a long time, rode in 100's of shows - even one with "Dizz" Hicks and Woody Itson from the Hutch team. Also rode in a local Haro show with Ron Wilkerson. Found out it's a lot harder when there's a bunch of people standing around watching you. :D My last bike was a Hutch Trick Star, complete with a one of a kind rear coaster brake hub designed by Brian Scura - SST. (Got the hub from Woody.) Hey Ryan - ever run across a girl named Christine Lisnock at the races? She was a friend of mine way back when who turned pro in the 80's. I think she races downhill Mtn. Bikes now. |

Wow
I must have put 20k miles a year on my BMX bikes back in the day. Thruster was one of our customers and got to go to the factory, 2 bay garage, and they custom built one for me. Hows that for the shiznitz. The trick set-up for a while was the Tuff Wheel II in the front and the alloy in the rear. |
my current bike is a FACTORY Profile bike from St Pete. A good friend of mine "Termite" works there. Profile is one of the oldest companies around and are world renowned for there legendary 3 piece cranks. Tinker is a BIG mountain bike racer now. Stu Thompson still races once in awhile. I dunno Christine Linsnock? I know of a few racer people kids that race, John Ingle's son is VERY good, I know Craig Barrie's son used to race.
