What is the most you have ever put in the bed of your pickup ??..

In my 2001 f-150 super crew I put 2,400 lbs. I usually just put 1 pallet of wood pellets in there that equals 1-ton (50 bags), didn't realize this particular nursery had 60 bag pallets. Don't think I will ever do that again...

OH, and in a crusty, rusty but trusty 86 toyota pickup w/ rotted frame frozen brakes I had put in 2,300 of gravel, but didn't know until I hit the scales...

guy at the gravel place said 8 bucks / ton, but since I have a small truck only 5 bucks / truck load, guy w/ 5 ton bucket loader gently pours in 3/4 white stone, guy at the desk asks to stop on the scale so nobody b!tches, just for the hell of it I ask hey how much is in there... he's like 2,300 lbs.. thought the truck would break in half..

I'll bet it was squatting pretty low, eh?

I hauled this huge Sago Palm tree one time in the bed that must have weighted 2000-2500#...This was in an F-250, though. The rear was straining a little.

The rubber baby bumpers were bottomed out on the leaf springs.. tires looked flat... STUPID move...

I had two full plastic wraped pallets of retaining wall bricks in the back of my dually.....no idea on the weight...had to be 3000+lbs. The first pallet made the truck squat and almost touch the overload spring perches......the second pallet made them touch but the truck barelywent down father then that. the ride was like a caddy and stopping took a little more time and distance......only because i didnt want the load sliding forward into the bed! :eek: but it handled it liek a champ! :D
it was a 1999 k3500 crew cab dually 4x4 7.4 auto by the way. :D

You wouldn't believe the **** I see piled in pickup trucks down here. These rednecks and 'urban moving engineers' come up with some crafty ways to pile the bed of their truck 20 feet high of crap. It's hilarious! :D:D:D

It's not uncommon to see a dumped load on the side of the road or under an overpass when they slam into it with their tall loads. :)

Yep...but it was a recliner with a tv stand. Rabbit ears and all. :D

I had an old vw pickup which is pretty much a rabbit with a bed, anyways being a front wheel drive truck, I could tell when there was too much wight in the bed in gravel when the truck couldn't get out of the gravel slip. The tires would just spin, cause they were berely touching the ground.
