Life Jackets and a 24 Skater

Does anyone have input on what Life Jackets my passengers and I should be using? I like the standard Lifeline and the Switlik jackets. Any sugestions. I am trying to look at logic on what can happen. More opt to get thrown out of the Skater, Than flipping. I have been thrown out of a boat and it hurts alot.

Brandon, You never told me this boat stuff get's expensive. $500.00 here $1,000.00 there. I think it's cheaper to tag along with you.:)

"BOAT" Break out another thousand:D A good vest or the more expensive race "collars" are less restrictive. I would say a good jetski vest that is thin and comfortable would be the best. As long as it is Coast Guard approved you are ok.

There are many different styles, try SRP the can custom make some , but the bottom line is: what is your life worth, and the value of your friends and family that you will be boating with, while it isnt 100% i would opt for the best protection you can get.

Since you will be running at high speeds and do not have canopies, it is imperative to have high speed impact life jackets. Others will simply disintegrate upon impact. I have the LifeLines personally and glad I have NEVER tested them out in the Skater. However, I HAVE in a 30 Shadow in Key West.

Just ask sticker boy off the board. He flipped a 24 Skater with passengers onboard and the lifelines saved a few lives. Buckle up ! BH

Puder,

Actually it was weird. It happened so fast yet so slow...even today I can clearly see the wall of water coming, getting wet, and surfacing and shutting the engines down. Yet it happened so fast I had NOT TIME to poop my pants. :p :D
