Thats awesome

StrikinLightnin 12-09-2003 08:28 PM

It would be another fine boat to add to the COPS
collection:p :p :p Huh Jack...

Audiofn 12-09-2003 08:31 PM

It should be interesting if no games are played like the bubble boat that has been sold several times on ebay.

It looks like a nice boat, I wish I had that power in mine!

It`s a no reserve auction, and with the market for an item like this and the time of year, it might just be the bargain of the year.

Last year an incredibly clean Cig with 3`s and 600 innovations sold for @60k. If I remember correctly, it sold to a friend of "the spy"

FeverFan 12-09-2003 08:59 PM

Think Quiet Storm will bid on it??? :D :D

Isn't this the boat that SummerO's friend was selling?

It looks pretty damn nice. Engines alone gotta be worth more than the current bid.

Biggus 12-10-2003 07:33 AM

Well its got 8 days left and has already been bid up to $66,000 I hope he gets his price.

Sean 12-10-2003 08:43 AM

that's summer o's friend and quiet storm did go look at it, but passed on the deal...

i know the boat from it's previous owner in NY. I think they are looking to get north of 100k

wannabe 12-13-2003 03:50 PM

WOW

Somebody put in a big time bid on this: $ 150,000.

Way to much money for the boat in this market.

I hope they come through and actually buy it.

Wannabe

Playn 12-13-2003 04:16 PM

That's a sharp Cig. I think they were asking $115K.

I'd be pretty skeptical of a $150K bid with "0" feedback on Ebay.

Hope the sale goes through

alcoleholic 12-13-2003 04:18 PM

..wtf..?..dude was only asking $115k for it??

dhlaw 12-13-2003 04:30 PM

No, its a load of crap.... The seller either has a buyer not from e-bay so he is creating a fictional high bidder to avoid having to fulfill his obligations to the real e-bay bidders or he is thinking that the lowest bid should be $150k and he has bid it up there himself. Either way its a ****ty move.

HyperBaja 12-13-2003 04:32 PM

What was wrong with it?

dhlaw 12-13-2003 04:40 PM

Its not a big red badass, staggered 1000's aluminum block blower motor, Tres Martin rigged, number 5's on boxes, 112 mph, sold for $85,000, good deal...... Thats whats wrong with it!!!

alcoleholic 12-13-2003 04:59 PM

...the attorney makes sense! :D

Doug 12-13-2003 08:10 PM

I know who the new owner of the boat is but have to let him make his own announcement.

d-hlaw I am really sick and tired of you throwing numbers around on my red TOP GUN that you really have no idea how much I paid for my boat. If it was any of your business or anybodys I would post it.

SummerObsession 12-13-2003 08:27 PM

It was a bad bid made by a real bidder.
It will be removed from auction.

End of story, no more BS to be had on this deal.
The boat is sold.

Those of you that missed it, it was a great deal!

dhlaw 12-13-2003 08:49 PM

Well Doug,
since you brought the subject up..... You were not the only buyer on that boat. I had a client that had a contract on that boat at $85k, agreed to by the bank and affirmed by Paul Brunson at Pier33. I assumed that you did pay the same amount as my client was prepared to pay since you ended up with the boat. If you did not, I apologize for bringing up a bad subject. Personally I could care less what you paid the point was that the market for these boats is not suporting mid 100's. In other words what you paid is irrelevent that is why nobody asked or cares.

As a side note, I happen to like your boat alot and would have bought it myself had I not already owned 2 cigs. As for the above mentioned boat.... well I think the facts speak for themselves. You cant blame a buyer for making the purchase, but the seller sure walks away with a stench. Needless to say the boat will make a great buy and I hope the new owner enjoys her greatly.

dhlaw 12-13-2003 08:53 PM

By the way Doug, Post #17 is a compliment...... maybe you should re-read it.

SummerObsession 12-13-2003 08:58 PM

Actually, the stench belongs to the high bidder, but I will let that story be told by him if he is a member here.

SummerObsession 12-13-2003 09:09 PM

Auction will be cancelled as soon as he can contact the seller. Used car guy.

Boat is sold, thread deleted in boats for sale section.

SummerObsession 12-13-2003 09:14 PM

The igh bidder is the one that bought the boat. It was HIS bid.
I suppose Scott if he was an *sshole or had an attorney that was one, could force the issue. Will he? In his word "I have more important things to do than sit at a computer and look for things to b*tch about", so I doubt he will.
It was a mistake by the buyer,
End of story, anything further is just someone trying to dig up dirty laundry.

BruceK 12-14-2003 08:03 AM

so if the buyer is at $150, why cancel the auction, maybe he'll get an even higher bid
