It's not the best looking OL ever made I'll give you that, but it could be nice. I think I could live with the cockpit for a year or so but the kids will have nightmares if they look at the paint to much. I am surprised they haven't take the power and drive's out and parted it out. If they are fresh the power is at least 300k.

I'am just glad the cabin is normal. When I saw the paint I figured they would have 2 coffins where the couches are.

I was stupid on Julies boat, it needed about 20k to get back to par from what I was told. I figured it would sell for about 275-325 and I have to sell my Sonic,( can't have 2 boats). Then I heard it sold for 180k. I could have swung that. Then I missed the 98 47 that Randy Sweers had by about a week getting all my ducks in a row.

Now by Jan. 15 I'll be set to spend some cash on a boat, I hope they will give decent $$$ on my Sonic in trade. I am kinda hosed on it. I bought it in 2000 have a crap rate, Key bank wont refi me because the don't have a branch in VA. All other banks want 20-25 k down to refi since I'am about even on it, so it's not worth it time to cut my lose move on and be smarter. I wont lose as much on a used OL as a new Sonic.

re paint will cost you more than you think

depending on what you have done could be up to $50,000

my guess just to cover old stuff and put something back on that flows and looks good will be $20,000 +

Yes I would cover just the skulls with the blackish-purple that is under them. I like the rest of the paint.

I have seen some bad tattos redone and made to look good, maybe they could make the skulls look like storm clouds and add some lighting. It might be cheaper and turn out better to change them then to try to cover them but I am not a painter.
