Ouch! What a sad sight. :(
|
Ouch is right!
|
that sucks she looked like a nice boat.
as for the repairability of that one. OUCH i dunno that is looking pretty terminal. |
Oh MY WORD!
That is bad. I do hope you and everyone involved are okay? Boats can be replaced-people can't. |
I was sorry to hear of the accident when it happened, but glad that you all would recover. Are you all feeling OK. I am curious how the accident occurred. After spending the summer with Ian towing our BT, I know what a job it is. It also seems that a lot of people are unsure how to drive in the vicinity of such a large trailer and tend to do some goofy things.
Mr. P set off a multi car accident just by being on the side of the road fixing something on the trailer, he said a few drivers were so busy rubber necking that it created a chain reaction resulting in about 6 smashed cars, he said there was a lot of metal flying!! Is the damage repairable, good luck with the insurance |
Dang I dont know the story but that does not look so good....
This also reminded me of the movie bad boys II... I just watched it last night, and they wrecked a Donzi ZR in one action sequence. That and the 38ZR the drug runners where useing was cool. |
ahhh another one of those $1500 glass JOBs and she will be as good as new :D :D
|
Myself and the passenger are going to be ok, both had some pretty bad leg injuries but should recover. The boat has been totaled and the insurance company has already settled, thanks Sy at Total Dollar. I just hope that whoever buys the boat from the salvage company will NOT fix that boat and just use the parts from the boat. I would hate to see that boat out on the water after what it has gone through.
I just want everyone out there that pulls these big boats to be careful, especially in the rain! Thanks Mike |
Did it come off the trailer?
|
Mike,
Glad to hear you're doing better!!! Call me when you have time to chat and I hope your son is doing good. I'm sure he is excited about the holidays. Take care, Ben |

Glad to see everything is getting better for you. Here is a picture of your boat I took at Hartwell this year before we started the poker run. Just thought I would post a pic of it in it's "better days."

Sorry to see that about your boat. But I am glad to hear that you guys are gonna be ok. Keep your chin up and hopefully you will be backout on the water in no time.

A little bondo, a little jb weld, and good as new.

Originally posted by formula31 A little bondo, a little jb weld, and good as new. This past summer a 38' Sonic burned to the water line leaving only the charred hull and the transon fully intact. Never went up through a bid auction or anything like this BT. Someone I know went up and offered $3000.oo (3 grand) and got the whole thing. K-Planes, Bravos, props, steering, CMI headers & tails (had to be cleaned), tips, engine blocks that were not totaled, 2 fuel tanks .. a lot for 3000.oo! Just had to pay a few hunge to get rid of the hull. That's about all you could do with this thing ... part it out, like Mike wishes would be done. |
Bummer!

First off, I am glad to hear you and your passenger are O.K. I am also curious as to what happened ? I have towed some fairly large boats, not a 43 or larger, but it would be nice if you could elaborate. It might help some of us avoid the same fate.

Mike
I am glad you are back up and recovering. Don't sweat the boat, you can ride to SML or lake Murray this summer and ride with me. Not as big but just as much fun. WILL:p |
