Man do I wish sometimes I lived in an area like that. In Maryland we dont get much snow. I have been on a snowmobile a few times and they are a blast. I had to buy a 4 wheeler instead. Great pics. Looks like a lot of fun

You know, we didn't call anyone because all this snow came in two nights. Next time for sure and that should be the weekend between Xmas and the New Year. I would never have believed it was going to be this good, the groomers were going full tilt and we ran into them all day. 340 miles and never a bump. A whole bunch of people missed out because it came so fast. Next time Playn, you are going on the list.:D This stretch here was a 120mph run. We did it about 5 times.

I need to grab a sled ..I gave it up after nearly killing myself by dropping one through the ice a couple years ago .. Long story but man Im gettin the itch lookin at these pics..

Mitch.. looks like you found the snow :cool: Glad you had fun. i went up north just to get away, worked on a few things and rode the 4 wheeler to keep me busy, had about a inch of snow.

The sled is still idleing in the garage :D waiting for snow.

I hope you don't pull a 4 place trailer, cause on the way up a excursion a I had a few dissagreements and had to sorta put him to the shoulder of the road a few times :D :D

No, that wasn't me, I am sure I would do the same but I would not want to be on the other end of someone doing it to me. I am all road rage when someone screws with me on the road. In fact I have had to pull over and let them go so they would get away from me as soon as possible.

Hope to get a day in Old Forge, NY, they've been getting pounded with snow up there!

Mitch you bugger,send me some of that snow will ya :) We have been getting real cold nights and the lakes and swamps are freezing up fast but not much snow yet :( Hopefully by xmas we will have enough for the groomers to get to work. Have fun.

Mitch, where was that? I heard they got some snow in the mancelona area. I'm just wondering how far north i have to go over the holidays:)

I know it's fun, but it's still just too blasted cold. I'd rather wax my boat in 75 degree sunny Florida weather.

This was in Grand Marais, MI about 2 hours from the bridge, find 77 on the map and go straight up to Lake Superior. Tantrum, I still plan on making the trip so be prepared to ride like never before. The T-Cat is dialed in now and ran like a champ. I was cruising at 80 at 1/2 throttle all weekend. All the trails up there look like this, all are groomed 2-3 times a day on weekends so it is always high speed on the straights.:D Curves are another story, I take them like a granny but thats because the other idiot coming head on is racing himself and may be in my lane.:eek: I have never crashed and my plan is to keep it that way.:cool:

We are heading up the day after Christmas, and staying at the Super 8 just out of Munising. I was
hoping for the Buckhorn but couldn't get in.

Also heading up the day after Christmas, staying at the White Fawn Lodge, south on H-13 out of Wetmore. Will be ther intil the 4 of Jan.:D

I have quite a few customers from the WI area that are doing the same. I was amazed to find out that every Hotel and Motel were booked solid. I would think that over the holidays it would be a little quite.

Also to anyone riding in WI, be aware that the DNR is being pressured by the land owners to monitor and ticket any sled with aftermarket exhaust. Local newspapers have been mentioning that the DNR is out after the nighttime speeders and loud sleds. Just FYI.

Be safe out there because there are a ton of inexperienced riders just around the corner.

Hey Chuck and all, I will be there the day after the day after Xmas. We will be in GM and it is a great ride from Munising and I can meet 1/2 way at the Buckhorn or even head that way. The best snow is between GM and Munising. Post your numbers and I will store them and we can hook up. The snow should stay and hopefully get bigger. Lets keep in touch and I will post a thread just before.

can anyone recomend a place to go in late january early february that has a resort or cabins that also would rent snowmobiles?
