The Catalina Ski Race
I was watching the show Real TV last night and I saw water skiers that race from point A to point B at speeds up to100mph. WOW!! At to top that, they were in the Pacific where there is no such thing as calm water. A 62 mile race and I think they said the record is around 50 minutes....
Damn, I know what it feels like to wipe good on a ski at 40.....can you imagine 100? They have to have some pretty good machinery and drivers to pull with too... |
The only place you can normally go 100 right at the "drag strip area" which is the last 3/4 mile as you pass the Queen Mary. Here's some photos.
