From what I have heard from the aviation community, he is a pretty nice guy. Used to have an old fighter jet, maybe still does, he and his buddies used to dogfight together.
The Missus met him one time at WalMart, he was there for a book signing or something. |
John T used to attend high school near me, famous for Lady Morrow, Lindberg's wife.
John T lost an engine in his Lear a few years back, right in the middle of a terrible storm. He amazed and impressed the flight controllers in Washington D.C. I believe, with the AAA++ professional manner and skill with which he landed it. Later he joked about how how his friends stopped ribbing him about his constant engine out, wind shear etc. potential disaster practice. In his case, practice made perfect. Smart guy! |
