Puder,,, LTL [less than Truck load} Carrier will definitely be the best way to go!! Just make sure its Crated and you should have no problem!! The cost is determined by how much room it takes up and the Value of the Freight!!! FYI,, Union Carriers are slow and Expensive. Shipping Collect means the Person Receiving the Freight Pays the Cost, where Prepaid means the Shipper pays the Freight Charges
Dock was right on the Money, because Large Co's have STEEP Discounts!! as much as 65%
I can get you the Phone No's to most LTL Carriers if you Need Them!!

boot call a couple of freighters and tell them the size, some will come and charge for it, if you can haul it to them they tend to have a little mercy on ya. let them know details of size and weight

Joe,, You got it!!! You can call the Freight Co. and they will come to your Place of Business, and Haul it Away!! I was trying to think who we Use, up there, I think its R.L. Carriers but I'm not for sure!! When I get to the Office, I'll try to post the Tel. No's. The most Important thing to remember, when shipping LTL is, damages and Claims!! When signing a Bill of Lading,, always note on the Bill itself, if the box is torn, if its smashed, opened, upside down, etc..., Always open the shipment and inspect, if possible!! Concealed Damage makes for an Un-happy Camper!! I hope I'm not Boring everyone with Details,, but you need all the AMMO. you can get when you have to File a Freight Claim.. They HATE paying for Damages!!!!!

Puder, If this is all crated it should not be a problem to ship. I usually have 10 trucks a week in California with a consolidation terminal outside of L.A. I can have it here in a week but you'll have to come to Ronkonkoma to pick it up. If your interested call me at work (631)439-2045 till 2;30 after, on the cell 516-380-9326. I'll get you a price from the "boss" and am sure it will be very reasonable.

Check ABF freight, they have a pretty good on-line discount for infrequent shippers. You save a bunch by doing terminal to terminal. You can print all the paperwork from your computer, then just have him drop it and you pick it up at the nearest terminal.
