How many Hours per season

Was wondering the average usage of the OSO gangs boats

When i had the BT i put on 430 hours in 3 years

I think 130 to 150 is realistic for us :)

we will see how many this year with the new boat

By the way I am in MICHIGAN

short boat season

dyno 12-18-2003 06:36 AM

Mark about half of your hours are at idle trying to get out the channel in GH!!!Since my daughter was born I get about 65-75 per year. The summer I got divorced I practically lived on my boat and I only got 125 but then again it only took me about 10 min. to clear the channel.I kept my boat in a lift just inside the channel in Holland..Now I'm in Muskegon at Great Lakes becouse GH is way to long to idle.....most people I know in Michigan dont even come close to 100. If you get more than 100 per year around here your the man!!

boatme 12-18-2003 06:39 AM

ahh tis true each trip from the lift at my house to the big lake takes about 35 to 45 minutes of idle before we can go more than no wake

but still is running time on the boat :)

dyno 12-18-2003 06:48 AM

I hear you!!better at idle than at the dock!!! Hows the new Biz going?? I need an upgrade to those lazer etched fender steps you posted a while back!

Wildchild212 12-18-2003 06:53 AM

WOW boatme, that is alot of hours for your location. We live in MN and boat on the MIssissippi and put on anywhere from 80-100hrs a year. We are out every weekend, and spend at least a week on vacation with the boat.

GLH 12-18-2003 06:56 AM

135 Hrs. last summer End of April to October

boatme 12-18-2003 06:58 AM

Dyno,

All is going Good

lots going on with many projects

GLH,

you da man

Wild,

You put on a ton for your area as well

ofshore 12-18-2003 07:05 AM

50-60 this past year and that's almost every weekend. I don't know how you guys put on so many hours, of course i trailer my boat to the lake so i don't usually use it during the week.

Wildchild212 12-18-2003 07:05 AM

We boat everyweekend with a group of around 10+ couples. We get out around the middle of April and dont stop until they turn off the water at our campground in the middle of Oct. This year we are getting an extra weekend though. We are all going to havasu in Feb and renting a 26 foot pontoon with I believe a 90 horse on back. Cant wait.

Formula Outlaw 12-18-2003 07:13 AM

First two summmers averaged about 110 on Outlaw. This past summer I think it was about 15. Spent more time in the shop getting repaired. Ouch.....Now I just have to finish painting the outdrives and it's back.

CigDaze 12-18-2003 07:17 AM

About 100 per year for us. :)

OldSchool 12-18-2003 07:29 AM

50-70 hour per year for us.:) We spend alot of time on the water, just not running. We usually run somewhere and anchor for a good part of the day and run back.

Around 100 for the Checkmate

MitchStellin 12-18-2003 08:50 AM

The past few years were bad, my X said she liked to boat, she should have mentioned she likes to boat in a bubble where it is warm, dry, and no wind. Now the B is gone and I will be back to my 100 hour average. I live 1/2 mile from the ramp and go every night it is warm. Last year I went by myself a few times just to get away, I don't mind that and since I go at a moments notice I don't have time to search for a rider. Next season, 35ft minimum, and Boatme, I hope it doesn't have a trailer (unless it is a Manning) because I will not tow anything without one.:D

dyno 12-18-2003 08:59 AM

Mitch you and I need to get together more!! heck I'm a block from the ramp but the boats in Muskegon! Find me some storage closer and we can run during the week together. We need to take a ride to Cedar so you can see that Sonic!!

dyno 12-18-2003 09:00 AM

and Mitch its on a Manning trailer!

Steel Outlawed 12-18-2003 10:45 AM

mopower 12-18-2003 11:40 AM

Average 50/60 per season and around 1300 miles on the gps.
Last season with SUCKO weather and some engine issues 13 on one engine and 14 on the other. Guess who came home on one engine:(
333 miles on the gps.
Looking forward to a lot better year next year:cool:

Jonas 12-18-2003 12:13 PM

we averaged about 125 hrs this year between the boats

fountain 90 + hrs
ski nautique 25
fat cruiser 10
pretty obvious which one is the most fun huh!
the pot belly pig of a cruiser is cool but only use in the winter as the full canvas heating windshield wipers etc make it comfy,

phastang 12-18-2003 12:28 PM

BUSTEDGUN 12-18-2003 04:34 PM

Dan Burtscher

Love Machine 12-18-2003 04:37 PM

100 hours on the Chesapeake with a really rainy season. Hope to increase that next year :)

Just Say N2O 12-18-2003 06:07 PM

73 hours, and the starboard engine was being rebuilt for 3 weeks during August. Not bad for Michigan.:)

I did an honest 315 hours this past summer! BH

a1amarine 12-18-2003 06:47 PM

300-400 hours/year for the last 2 years. I am in my boat 3-4 times a week at the minimum. I put it in the water just to go have a beer. I live on the water in Florida so it makes it pretty easy.

I have a Donzi fishboat so I do a lot of trolling.

I play a lot, and I put about 300 hrs per year on my boats. I play in the performance boat @ 80 hrs per yr.
About 150 hrs on the cruiser and about another 60 to 70 hrs. on the pontoon not to mention the waverunners.

epeek 12-18-2003 08:37 PM

When I was in my 20's,I put on 150 hrs a season.
Now with a wife & kids I get about 30 hrs. :(
