We don't need anyones name, here's the whole story: Comin out of the cut, and heading north it was real snotty and rough. The 41 was runnin and waiting for the Glad to get on plane. When on plane and runnin, he took a beating and could'nt even stay with the 41. The Glad turned and headed south so the 41 turned and followed him. When the 41 came up on the Glad, there was a smoother stretch of a mile or 2 (maybe 1-2's) during this couple mile stretch both went WOT. The Glad then pulled in front of the 41. The 41 ran aprox 95-96, the Glad ran close to 100 or so. Both eng's are now out of the 41 (repower:350HRS) will be back and runnin 3/4 weeks. Look for the return of the tribe. As for the 36 Glad, well we can't disclose who's boat that was cause the baseball player (owner) might get pi$$ed off that the salesman that was beating the snot out of his new boat! From what I understand. the Glad had 800's in it at the time. So are we talkin who won goin north? or who won goin south? There is a big difference here. Frank

Next time the green flag drops, give us warnings so we can enjoy the race. I speak for a lot of people.

Frank,
Were you on the boat?

Don't races have to have a starting point and finishing point?

Evidently not when an Apache is involved. :p :p

10x 01-01-2004 08:22 PM

Craig223: No, I was'nt on either boat, but I did talk to 2 different people at different times who were there, and they both relayed the same story. I have no reason to dought what they say as there is no gain for either. AND it really was'nt any kind of race, so I guess there really was'nt any start or finish. Apache dominated the big water. Gladiator dominated the flat sea. The end for now, but I'm sure there will be a part 2 in a month or so. And I'm sure some camera footage would be acceptable by all parties. If someone would like to be a photographer, that would be GREAT! Mark will be back on the board after next Tuesday and maybe we can get something worked out for some ONBOARD cameras. The footage will be execellant!!!

WARPAINT 01-01-2004 08:25 PM

55 posts and none of you have heard from the t-man on the Apache.:pPut your feet up, Magnum will be home next week.

Where do you guys get this information? That was the race 2 months ago, and they won that one too. They raced again just to clear up everyones ridiculous rumors.

And don't give me this, "we can't disclose whos Gladiator it was BULL****. " IT WAS PUDGE RODRIGUEZ"S BOAT. And it doesn't have 800's, it has ZUL 775's. AND, Pudge knew about it.

You are so misinformed.

You guys will do anything to preserve something that doesn't need excuses.

Apaches rock, stop ruining the name.

Salesman? Again, you need better info. Try multiple World and National Champion.

He can drive my rig anytime.

I'd be glad to race you WARPAINT, but I sold my slow boat. The water doesn't usually get smooth enough for you to get to 65 anyway. :D :D

I'm ready now. Wherever you want. You must have a new Apache on order. You should race the new owner of my old 28. Its more your speed.

LOL. Just having fun. I don't want to rival the famous Steve1 vs. Warpaint rants.

I'll run you anytime you want. I never needed freeboard, neither did Don A. apparently.

I could bring "Bad Seed" instead. That would be more fair for you, and leave no room for excuses.

You don't want to race my gun.

WARPAINT 01-01-2004 11:12 PM

Actually i do,Steve1 was never a contender.I have been looking for a chick like you to race all along:D Happy new year dog!I have to give it a rest.I am a pro throttleman and i need my rest.I will fight ya tomorrow;)

Sweet. I didn't think they made a cool offshore video game. When you achieve pro throttleman, does it unlock new courses and better boats? :D :D

Back4More 01-01-2004 11:49 PM

A 36 Galdiator vs. a 41 Apache is a slight miss match no?
Like racin a B1 aganst an F15 maybe.
Something like a race with a 38 Fountain or 37 Outerlimits might have bragging rights.
As for Chicago in July...sounds like my kind of pond.

WARPAINT 01-02-2004 12:01 AM

Back4mo, fight with someone your own size. How big is a 42 Fountain?;)
