I would choose option B.
I once had a Scarab 377. I sold it because no matter what I did to update the look, she still looked like a dated boat. You can Glass in the windows, drop a lower fairing on her, and she'll still look like a chopped 377. The staggered engine configuration moves the driver towards the middle of the boat rather than to the back third of the boat. This makes the boat look like she's got a large rear end. I believe that people generally like the KV's and flat deck Cig's of the same vintage because of the "sleekness factor"and because you have more out front than behind. This is not taking into account the "Who makes a better boat"argument. The tall boats just dont seem to have the same appeal, nor do they draw the same $$$$ value in resale ( generally speaking).
My advice would be to invest your time and money into something that your going to be happy with and want to keep for a while. Something that continually makes you say "Damn thats hot!!!" every time you look at it. If you cant say that, it probabally means you will end up selling it. Dont redo something just for the sake of the cause. That's just my .02 cents.
