Hey TimG(or anyone else),

My girl has to fly back to Ga. right after we close on the house wed., so I've got nothin' to do.
I could run over from Palm Beach Wed. night or early Thurs. morning if there is an empty seat or two.
I could use the nice stress relief from all this homeowner crap.

Thanks,
Greg

I'll probably ride with big daddy.... Money Shot.

If any one wants to run down with us let me know.

Donzi Corleone 12-30-2003 09:22 PM

Cuda,Im sure its the Hyatt first then the group will head out new pass down to longboat to mar-vista. It wont be long thats for sure, but then the days are shorter and when the sun goes down its gonna get cool.

mopower 12-30-2003 09:25 PM

Yeah, like here the end of September.

Ryan Beckley 12-30-2003 09:37 PM

Danger kitty is feeling alittle undder the weather Happy B-Day Kitten! If he's all better he's probably comming. I was thinking that there would be alittle delay in getting out of the Hyatt and that we run up to MarVista on the OUT SIDE going out BIG PASS. This is looking good. I've just got a little slow lake boat with fishin motors.

Formula Outlaw 12-30-2003 10:19 PM

Ryan, didn't someone say it had "weekwhackers" on the back? Also heard it'll run like hell. Looking forward to meeting you. Russ

Hey Greg,

Lets see if anyone has two seats, if you want, I can pick you up, and run over together early Thurs. morning(I'll just have to take it easy on the booze tonight). I wasnt gonna go due to the long ride over, and since the woman is skeered of powerboats after our Key West adventure last month(Tim is probably laughing at this), but if there is room, I'll do it!!!!

Greg, and Rick,
You guys can ride with us... No problem.
:eureka:
Erin and I are heading over tonight, and putting in at the ramp with the rest of the boats.

Give me a call when you figure out your plan...

Oh- Look out- Ryan said he had his boat "plugged in." I guess he wants the trolling motor batteries up to snuff!

rchevelle71 12-31-2003 06:18 PM

We are in, CashBar, and I are leavin Boca at 6AM to meet up with TimG at the 10th. street ramp.

cuda 12-31-2003 06:47 PM

What is the best exit to take from I 75 to get to the 10 Street ramp?

We have to wait until 8:30 to drop Debbie's son off at the sitter, so we will be pressed to be there by 10:30. Are you going to hang around the Hyatt for a bit?

Mike, a bunch of the Opba members are leaving from Tierra Verde. I've got the email here somewhere, I'll forward it to you.

We are going to trailer to Sarasota and go from there.

cuda 12-31-2003 07:41 PM

cuda 12-31-2003 07:46 PM

It's 11 am at Tierra Verde according to the email.

Johno 12-31-2003 10:29 PM

I am leaving around 9-30 (Park Blvd. Redington Beach) & out thru Johns Pass. Should go thru JP at around10-00.
Fever Mike what time are you leaving?
John

Formula Outlaw 12-31-2003 10:43 PM

For anyone trailering down, just in case, follow I-75 south, get off at Fruitville Rd. exit (the next one past University Pkwy), follow all the way to U.S. 41 (goes through town) and turn right at that light and the 10th St. Ramp is just up ahead on the left. Can't miss it.

Formula Outlaw 01-01-2004 06:21 AM

Getting the last details done on Outlaw, like too much stuff to do. Oh well, at 9:30 I'm off to the ramp. Happy New Year everyone.

Ryan Beckley 01-01-2004 09:48 PM

It was GREAT to see you MIKE. As well as everyone else. It is awesome the group of people that we have in this area an NATIONWIDE that share our love for boats. Sorry to the guys that broke stuff, but we all know your pain. I know it wasn't very organized today but still an awesome day. We had a few people form PA, GA, and all over FLA. A few BIG name racers had Cameo's today, Glenn Wilson, Joey Gratton, Matt Rice, BC Canty, Mark Hanna were all out having fun in the sun. We had a great time. By the way I would say Frank Colla (Speed2Lead) was the king of the run with the SPEED 2 LEAD. THANKS to everyone for a great day.

Formula Outlaw 01-01-2004 10:10 PM

Ryan, it was an awesome day wasn't it. 80 degrees, sunny, the gulf was flat, I mean it just could not have been more picture perfect. I got to meet some new people and putting faces to OSO "names" was great. Even with my minor fuel tank sediment annoyance, it was A GREAT DAY..... (though my sunburn hurts a little) It was killer pulling up to Mar Vista and seeing all those hi-po boats. What better way to start a new year.......

Donzi Corleone 01-02-2004 07:37 AM

It was a great run with a great bunch!! Had a great time as did the Jana. Cuda sorry to hear what happened with the trans.but its one of those anomolies associated with boating. Ryan I know your foaming at the mouth for that new addition. Its a whole new came out there with 6 more feet. We couldn`t have ordered a more prettier day. We should make this a yearly deal, cause even if the weather is normal (66 high) its not to cool to make that run on the inside. I know the northern guyz are screamin too cool at 66 WTF..

Oh well....

Mike, I blew a tranny line coming out of Big Pass and had to limp back to the ramp on one engine.

Cashbar was there, I think he rode with TimG on the Pantera, so was RChevelle.

Johno came by car after he found the dreaded milkshake in his oil pan.

Is Ryan getting a 30 Spectre? It seems to be the boat of choice for a lot of people lately. I hear Ron Long is getting one too. Does he have it yet?

Donzi Corleone 01-02-2004 07:55 AM

Ron had his 30 Spectre at Mar Vista......AMT is race riggin one for Ryan......

We were there, tied up to the Spectre at the end of the Pier, Yeah, I seen you around, but I am kinda new here, and didnt really know who was who, I know Cuda, and Johno from the 4'th of July run, and Ryan from a race in Marathon, kinda know Glen from Key West, although we never formally met, since we never got off the boats, and now met Cashbar, and Formula Outlaw. Next Time for Sure, we will definitely be back over your way, yesterday was the best day of boating I have had in a LOOOOOOONNNNNNG time!!!!!!

Yesterday was enough incentive to make good on my new years resolution of getting my S**t together this coming year, and coming back next New Years with a "REAL" boat.

NASTY HABIT 01-02-2004 09:04 AM

I was there also.....I saw you Mike , sorry for the lack of intro . I'll be sure to next time I see you .

Yeah, but the "Bowrider" has gotta go!!!!!

I have the "NEED" to be able to run with you guys, I am pretty much settled on the 24 Pantera, wish I could pull off the 28, but finances just wont let that happen. I am open to other brands, but bang for the buck small offshore, seems to be the best boat.

My plans are to put a few $$ in the Wellcraft, get it runnin again, straighten out the finances while runnin the old boat, and pay off the second mortgage, then mid summer get serious about sellin the Bowrider, late summer when all you northerners are gettin desperate to sell, take the $$$$ from the sale for a down payment on the new(to me) boat, and pay the rest with a new second mortgage.

I'll start another thread for the pics...

I DEFINITELY think we should make this a New Year's Day tradition. Now let's think of a name to call it. Or just maybe the "Annual Sarasota New Year's Day Fun Run". How about it people?????:)

I am in!!!!

Outlaw, after yesterday, I am taking the advice of your signature"friends dont let friends drive bowriders" She is gone this year, I am officially selling/shopping!!!!!!!!

Formula Outlaw 01-02-2004 12:38 PM

It really don't matter what kind of boat you're in (long as it's not a blowbote). Being on the water (with motors) with friends is what it is all about.

The one exception is Too Old - He does not require water. Only air - for the trailer tires.
