Just Swimming Through
And I see aloft of regulars here , looks like Catmando is up to the same **** here also . Been Jetting for the last 14 yrs but after going to my first poker run this yr I got the itch bad !!! Had my eye on a 91 26'CV Scarab in Ohio which I wanted but missed out on it due to the fact my jet has not sold yet , I belive he is a member here ? Are there any good sites for Scarab's. Still would like to look at some boats in the 26 range and have 22-25 to spend .

CAT IS NO LONGER WITH US HERE

May I suggest a Baja 24 ft Outlaw. Will handle the rough stuff better than a Scarab and runs about the same with a big block. Plus it will be easier to resell due to the popularity of the model. Check out the classifieds and look in the Baja forum. Proman has a nice one for sale at a fair price.

Lets see, you are selling a JET and you only have 22-25 k to spend. Must be a pretty crappy jet, the cheapest I have seen was in the 2 mil range.

No high roller here!! Welcome to the board!!:p

Originally posted by MrOffshore The 26CV is a great boat, narrow beam, a real Larry Smith original and can handle plenty of power and run in the rough stuff...the seating is terrible and the low freeboard makes it a bit tricky in the rough stuff but the hull is solid and the design is worthy. I have seen the boat rigged with single big block and twin outboards. The outboards really caught my eye, almost bought that boat but was skeptical of the low freeboard and seating. Would have taken some modifications to meet my needs and I hated to buy a new boat and go through that. I wouldn't mind having one today for running around on...and it trailers really nice too. You need to sell your Gulfstream G3 and get one of them. |

GulfstreamG3= corprate jet, i think some of our comedians were confusing your jet "boat" with a jet "plane" :D :D :D in your quest for a boat you might look at the wellcraft nova as well. |

actually i made the leap myself a few years ago. i had a 23.5 foot Mirage daycruiser , looked like one of the big Hawiians. i liked the boat alot, great for runnin around our riverfront but quickly found the boat did not like being in lake erie. stepped into a 26 foot Scorpion with twins. what kind of jet do you have now?

Originally posted by yellowbird You should be able to find another here. http://www.boattraderonline.com/ Man, if its a good boat, you got to be quick. I was looking at a nice Pantera, vintage 1981. A real nice boat for a good price. before I could even get down to see it, it was gone daddy gone. Same thing happened to me earler in last year with a formula out of Chi-Town. So be ready, their out there, but you must have your cash in hand and ready to roll on it. Man , I wanted that Pantera, Bad, and I had the cash, I just didn't move fast enought. Someone has the super nice Pantera I wanted, Im sure they are loving it too. Speed to the sale, and money in hand. good luck. http://www.boattraderonline.com/ |
