Did you just use Bayliner and race in the same sentence?

The reality is that none of us think Baja builds the BEST boats. In fact, we'd be pushing it to suggest that they are even in the top 75% in terms of quality amongst REAL performance boats. That said, it by no means suggests that they are junk, and they are FAR from the worst. Just because they are not as good as Fountain, Formula, Cig, AT, Nordic, Sunsation, Powerquest (yes the list goes on) does not make them crap. A lot of us bought Baja's as a step up from Stingray, Regal, Glastron, Wellcraft (I'm not talking Scarab here), and it was a HUGE step up in quality. The Bayliner analogy is a joke. Look at the components that go into the boat. Same Mercury power; Latham steering if you upgrade to hydraulic; Keikhaefer controls standard, Momo or Dino steering wheels; many with Gaffrig gauges; the same end-grain balsa construction as many of the better quality boats listed above. All this, and I can buy a brand new 25 Outlaw (which is actually 26'4" w/ swim platform) w/ 496HO power for about $56,000 at my local dealer. That's hard to beat. Sure, I can step up to a 280 Powerquest or 288 Sunsation with the same power for another $30,000+, or a Formula 271 for even more, and I may some day. It isn't a matter of being able to afford it, I just choose not to based on my priorities at this time.
Anyway, sorry to be such a hard-a$$. I know the vast majority of you are merely poking fun because of the Baja stereotype. I'd love to take a ride in some of your better boats (sincerely, not sarcastically).

Im checking out these pictures, but Im having trouble finding anything similar about these 2 boats. Other than they both have steering wheels, and gauges.

I think I'm going out to the garage to rub my baby with a cloth diaper.
