Default Fair value of 1996 29 scarab blackhawk no power

I am looking at a friends 1996 wellcraft scarab with blackhawk drives and no power. he had twin 377 supercharged motors (550hp) and is taking them out. 150 hours. only issue he had was docking with motors stalling. fresh water only and includes trailer. in good overall condition. needs some wiring work in engine compartment and good detail and cleaning. Any advice of value based on sales and experience would be very much appreciated.

Note: this is not a P-29 with the red and yellow paint but a 29 with blackhawks.

Thanks,

The boat from the guy that runs the old "what's your beef" Dave? I talked to him about his boat the night I saw you there.

I don't think that rig is an improvement on what you have and blackhawks are tempermental, ask Airpacker he came to my run with a spare bravo in the back of his pickup he trusted his blackhawk so much.
Expensive to fix and prop also.

Has for the boat itself, I boat with a guy that has one with a single 525 SC in it he loves it and the whole family spends every weekend on it. Runs 72 MPH.

Call me 734-8284 I can give you an idea of the numbers I think it's worth.

Too Old-
You are the second person to tell me 20k. The second was GLH. Are the blackhawks a + or minus ? A friend is selling it so I want to make him a fair price offer.

I had a P-29 for two seasons and it was a drive eating machine. I loved the boat but cost too much to keep fixing I spent over 20k in 2 seasons on the drives.

If you like to raft up or dock a lot better get some long lines to toss to people, they move fast foward and don't back up.

I haven't broke a drive in any other boat I had, so I don't think it was me. Parts are going to be harder to get for them too.

but i think thy are 28 in those years because the swim platform was bolted on.. but still the same as the 29 they made last year..something to tell the insurance man.. LOL

20 -25k

these boats are not that much money to begin with.
If the boat needs some clean-up paint/buffing...definately low 20's.
Great boat at that price

I personally have black hawks on my 31 Sonic. Had one rebuilt the begining of last summer with upgraded XR gears and have had no problems at all. They run great. Although I can agree that it will take you some time to get used to the fast idle speeds going through a marina and such, but you would get the hang of it quickly.

can the blackhawk drives be made bulletproof? The boat I am looking at includes a spare drive.

Would it slow the boat much by changing to stock bravo drives?
