I have a buddy with a P-29 that he is selling b/c his wife is pregnant. The blackhawks have worked great for him. He really likes them. If you wanted to talk to him about the boat call Brent at 910-265-8407

The Blackhawk drives are VERY cool but I would be concerned with reliability and resale.

If it had supercharged motors in it before ,when you repower. your looking at new props 4 of them
if you hit something prob mess up 2 props.i have a friend that bought a new1997 Scarab 29 single 415 motor with trailer for 50K.Another friend just bought a 1997 scarab 29 with a415 and trailer for 36 K
Like too old said if the boat does not come with all the stuff that comes on the motors. You might have to but a salvage boat to get all the stuff for the motors. it woulds be tuff finding all the stuff and expensive

$17-$20
Figure you have to buy power X 2. Pay someone to instal and Rig (I am sure it will take some rigging, everything does) Thats about $20-25K right there. Landing the boat at around $45.
1996 Scarab 29 w/Blackhawks & fresh power- $45,000. Sounds about right for an acual purchase price. There are many on the market now for about $55,000 asking price. And they have been asking for awhile!

Hey, if you don't like the drives, then take them off. Throw them up for sale on this board. The drives will catch around 3k each. The props are worth around 1k a pair depending on the pitch. (I'm looking for some 31's
) I'd replace the drives with some 2" shorter lower units and bravo 1 props. Now you can repower with any engine of your choosing.

I looked at a '95 with 350 mags and alphas early last year. Only around 200 total hours since new, but it was bottom painted. He was asking $29K, and I think it went for a lot less.
