Those bottom ends are simply the best I have ever seen. I have some videos from racingflix.com which are sweet as can be. That whistle from the turbos is like music. My father in law was into the old Dodge Hemis and when I showed him the videos he freaked out. He said "Yep, when you hear that whistle just step away. Those things are fast." He fixed up a 94' RX7 for a buddy of mine and that thing rocked but not like the Supras. Toyota should really bring that car back. Keep in mind though my short experience has been when Toyota finally builds a good car they discontinue it. They still have a good resale but I gotta tell you, they are getting hard to come by. Good Supras are out there but you will pay a premium. Mine is showing signs of wear. I got quite a few creeks & rattles and my paint is losing it's lusture. Roby |

But what Torque # I would bet that a pair of 800 HP 540's would be able to keep up if not pass those 1300HP motors in a 38' boat. Torque is what drives a boat not HP. RIGHT:D |

If you are looking at a Porsche be sure to have it checked out well. I recently had a 1992 Turbo checked out that I was interested in by the dealer in Plano (Dallas). The car looked great with low miles, Black, exterior, and black interior. Not a scratch on it. Was a trade in to the Porsche dealer in Ft Worth from a doctor. After driving the car I noticed the smell of buring oil. The dealer told me it had a small leak that was no big deal. My dealer had a different opinion telling me that the entire engine needed to be removed and broken down to replace all of the seals at a cost of over $6000. Said it is very common for the air cooled ones in warmer climates.

I have a buddy that has a Supra that he bought in Miami and drove it back here to Kansas City. He looked everywhere before he decided on this one. Anyway, he runs a dyno shop here in KC and it has seen over 750hp (maybe more now) on the dyno, like someone said eariler I guess the clutches are the hard part!!
It had higher miles but is AWSOME I'll ask if it's for sale!! |
