I don't know if you guys are ever interested in making a saltwater run, but if you are, there are some great places to go for the day and some long runs thru big and calm waters if you want. I think that it would be great to pick a spring or early summer weekend and make a trip to Kiawah or Capers Island, then dinner in Shem Creek. We could even do a Charleston to Beaufort weekend. We have done that twice and it is a blast. Anyone interested, let me know.
We will gladly make the trip up to Lake Norman if there is something going on. Are there any hotels/resorts on the water on Lake Norman?

I don't think it was me, I've never been on Murray. I boat on Hartwell mainly and Norman on occasions. We did a coastal trip in October. We put in at Wacawachie in Murrels Intlet and traveled the waterway to Charleston. It was a good trip, we will probably do that a couple time this coming year. We will let you know when we are coming. I love the Charleston area.

We have been taking 1 to 2 boat trips to Charleston for about 8 years. We usually put in before the locks and go down the river to Charleston. We use to stay at the Hampton Inn, and dock at the Rippley Light marina, but the last few times we have had to stay at the Marriot across the river. We usually go down on friday and play around in the ocean after checking in and then make a run to Beafort on Sat. for lunch. Charleston is a great place to go for the weekend. We will let you know when we come down.
