Ok. Current ambient temperature is 14. Wind chill is sub-zero. But, only a couple of weeks left of this crap. Was only one week but plans got pushed back a week. See you guys in Florida. BTW, Gonna be lookin for work to keep me there while going through the hiring process at the police departments. If you have any ideas, lemme know.

R. Yup. Goin down there to find work. The Pittsburgh area is goin downhill fast. Not much up here that pays well. At least that I am qualified for. In my field it is hard to get good paying jobs. Now, recently, they have even been laying off. Even the city police.

Not sure what cops make here, but seems they are always hiring!!!!

The ultimate area is still unknown. I have looked at about half dozen to a dozen areas that range from Metro Dade to Hillsborough County to Daytona and points between. Some depts pay better than others. So I am using that as a limiting factor. Plus, trying to go to a larger dept that has more on the job options and potentials like marine patrol, swat, aviation, etc...

BTW,, unlike up here, just about everybody down there is hiring. Up here they keep laying off. The local economies are just falling apart. Jobs and people are leaving the area.
