Yeah, JBK and myself looked at the boat last Feb. while at the Miami Boat Show. It was for-sale at Philly's place. Troutly might still have some pictures of it...

(as in negative, like "remember when that guy jumped a wake, crossed the park, landed on the asphalt and creamed three rows of patrons at the Clevlander!" type of thing) Stuff that might help me assess the risk. I'll be down in FL this WE looking mostly at Tigers but someone talked to me about this rig and it is at a place I am going so I'll see it. |
Fred,
I'll see it this weekend, if I can't get my price on a 42 I think the safety valve would be something like that. |

Nice looking 'Gun GLH, never seen that one before.
Personally, I like the look of a Top Gun much better than the Tiger and it has a full cabin. Did they ever produce a full cabin, enclosed head Tiger? Kurt |

when i was looking for a Top Gun, i looked at that boat. if i remember correctly it was a 1997 Top Gun, Kevlar layup, Mercury 600SC's, Bravo's w/ a covergirl cabin. Philly mentioned that the "The Columbians" owned it and were interested in selling it. He thought it would be in the $140K range at that time. I have about 50 pictures of it. Overall, the boat is in decent shape. The paint needs some touch up (quite a bit of dock rash) and a little upgrading for my tastes. However, the boat is rigged with top notch equipment and is set up exactly how I wanted.......600's, bravo's, kevlar layup, covergirl cabin, etc. the cockpit interior has recently been updated from a khaki color to white with yellow accents. The cabin remains khaki, yellow and pink. Basically, the reason i chose to stay away from this boat was the paint and the high hours on the motors. at the time it had 300 hrs on the motors. email me at [email protected] if you would like more pictures. here are a few......

Did they ever produce a full cabin, enclosed head Tiger? Looks? can't argue with personal taste. I think the first Tiger (Jungle Fever)had a full cabin but I am not sure. Regarding layout; we (3 of us)do spend every WE on the water from Friday to Sunday but what we need the cabin for is strictly sleeping practically and holding stuff obviously, but we eat, cook, drink and are merry! outside the cabin for all practical purposes, and for sleeping the cover girl and extended cover girl are better set up in my opinion for the use we do; -the facing lounges are 9'6" long (in the Tiger)to the first bulkhead, the backrest is easily taken out for full width, and they are wide enough for my shoulders. Plus the hatch is above your face your not wedged in the tip of the boat suffocating. -passed the zip up bulkhead a couple Tupperware bins can hold all our crap and it provides space for a second cooler without encumbering the alley. The only time we would need more space is in inclement weather for a LONG time and then I would be out in the weather with the ski goggles heading back home. For the use we have of it I like that cabin layout. If I want more space in crappy weather I stay home!!! Care Kurt. |

I knew I had seen it somewhere else.....looks like a nice clean boat from the pics......and you get a plasma tv....what a deal!!

Nice looking boat GLH. The only thing I would be scared of is the 300 Hrs on SC motors. especially on a heavy boat.:)
|
Martin Marine owns the boat now and Tres said it had only 220 hrs. A couple people told me 300+ hrs.?
