It's amazing that a little 16 foot boat could carry that much exlosive to do that kind of damage. I wonder if they found any bits of the suicide bombers stuck in the hull.

Notice the ammount of underwater damage?
I'll bet they had some of the explosives under the boat. A bomb underwater has more power than one above. When explosives detonate in water a pressure wave builds which can do considerable damage. A WWII depth charge does not have to contact a submarine to do damage. The hydraulic pressure wave does it all.
